Stratford Library Association

The Stratford Library is raising funds to re-design the children's reading and play area to honor the legacy of Victoria Soto. Victoria, a Stratford resident, was a first grade teacher at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT. Her life exemplified a love of children, her dedication to learning, and her delight in nature and children's literature. The Soto family, along with Janice Davis Design LLC and the Stratford Library staff, plans to design a space that will reflect Victoria's unique personality as well as the values she held so dear. The space will incorporate a sense of fun and joie de vivre, along with references to her many favorite books, animals, and interests. In order to realize this project, The Stratford Library will be accepting tax deductible donations in Victoria Soto's memory. Persons or groups wishing to contribute to this memorial fund may mail a check to the Stratford Library designating it for the Victoria Soto Legacy Project. The Stratford Library, located at 2203 Main Street in Stratford, CT, was founded in 1895 to provide access to resources, programs, and services to benefit the local community. The Children's Department serves children ages birth through 12, their parents and caregivers.
