Subur Teknologi was founded by Zuhaizar Abdul Karim and his wife Zuraida Salleh on 5thOctober 2000. Zuhaizar is an Electro-Mechanical Engineering graduate from POLIMAS. He gained his working experience through 8 years of working with manufacturing companies producing telecommunication equipment, as an Engineer. Throughout his career, he was assigned to be in charge of different responsibilities such as production engineering, equipment engineering, and procurement and purchasing. He started his business on part time basis, selling electronic kit to schools around the vicinity of Kuala Muda, Yan, and Kulim. Later, he expanded his business into technical institute and polytechnic selling electronic components and test equipment. Realizing the opportunities and the lack of Malay participation in the field, he decided to operate the business on full time basis. In August 2001, he resigned from his employment and started the business full time, using his house at Taman Kempas as his operational office. In 2004, Subur Teknologi marked another new chapter in its history by moving to a rented premise in Taman Seri Gedong and increasing its employees to 6. As the business grows and realizing the need to support its expanding customer list, Subur Teknologi purchased its first building in Lagenda Height Sungai Petani and began operation from where it is operating today in 2007. By mid-2007, Subur Teknologi opened its first office outside of Sungai Petani. It chooses Kangar, Perlis to be the pioneering site. At the same time, Subur Teknologi opened its first Showroom and Retail Outlet, utilizing the ground floor of its 2-storey Leganda Height premise. At the end of same year, Kuala Lumpur became the third office, the second branch for Subur Teknologi outside of Sungai Petani. From 2008 to mid-2009, Subur Teknologi continues to chart its presence across Malaysia with the opening of new branches in Penang and followed by Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu to support its customers who, by now, is scattering all over Malaysia. As Subur Teknologi's Vision to be the Best Electronic /Electrical Component and Equipment Supplier in Malaysia continues to inspire the organization, the company is now ready to spread its wings to Central region of Melaka and Negeri Sembilan all the way to Southern Region of West Malaysia covering the state of Johor while strengthening its presence in its current locations. By the end of 2010, Subur Teknologi plans to open its branches in East Malaysia of Sabah and Sarawak.
