Your hosts Steve and Sesika Burling established the resort in 1979 and have over 34 years experience in catering for surfers in Tonga. Our philosophy has always been that; people come to Tonga to escape the "tourist traps" so we see absolutely no point in creating one here at Ha'atafu Beach. The resort is ideal for individuals, couples or groups, and is one of the few "user friendly" destinations in the South Pacific for the "surfing family" with most surfspots either directly out front or within short walking distance. 21km west of the capital Nuku'alofa on the Hihifo Peninsula. Ha'atafu Beach is not only home to some of Tonga's best surfing waves, it is also Tongatapu's premier recreational swimming and snorkelling beach.
