Surmac

We realized this goal very quickly. On June 3, 1959, two years after Surmac was established, we delivered 25 tractors to Suralco. During the ceremony, which was held in honor of this memorable event, the director of Suralco announced that a second order of the same magnitude was placed for tractors on rubber tires with scrapers and trailers. Surmac started with 13 employees. In 1961, this number increased to 101. In the same year, plans were made to invest SF 80,000 in services and products. On May 15 1961, we opened an additional workshop, because the demand for heavy equipment was constantly increasing. From the very beginning, Surmac has played a very important role in the industrial development of Suriname. Especially in important sectors such as mining, forestry, agriculture, oil and gas and (heavy) construction. We are therefore particularly proud of the contribution our equipment has made to the development of large construction projects in Suriname, such as the excavation of the Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport and the construction of the Afobakaweg. Our company uses the best machines in the world. In particular, Caterpillar machines that integrate technology, technology and quality in a way that enables the organization to bring innovative products to the market. In addition, Surmac is representative of a number of other successful brands such as Massy Ferguson, DAF, JLG, Wacker Neuson, Ingersoll Rand and 3M. We only work with the best brands so that we can offer the customer the best solution for their challenges. About Surmac CAT
