Sheremetyevo International Airport

Sheremetyevo International Airport is the largest Russian airport in terms of passenger and freight traffic, takeoff and landing operations, the area of the airport facilities and the capacity of the cargo facilities. The Sheremetyevo route network comprises more than 200 destinations. Cargo terminal "Moscow Cargo"- the newest and the largest cargo complex in Russia with the area of 42,300 m2 and cargo handling capacity of 380,000 tonnes per year. The complex is equipped with Lödige automated cargo handling and storage system. It has separate container and bulk storage areas with joint automated operating system. "Moscow Cargo" is equipped with Seven-level Automatic Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) that has 3,198 loose/pallet cargo storage locations. There is a Sizeable four-storey Pallet Container Handling System (PCHS) with a storage area for 576 Unit Load Devices (ULD), 60 of which are specially designed for temperature-sensitive ULDs (t from +2 to +8°). The complex has 13 conveyor lines with an access to the apron, 29 stations for cargo reception and delivery equipped with truck docks and dock shelters, 2 of which are designated for heavy and oversized cargo (including cars) and 2 - for express cargo and courier parcels.
