The Swamp Restaurant

THE SWAMP RESTAURANT is proud to have served the Gator Nation since 1994. With a history closely tied to the University of Florida, the building that houses The Swamp was built in 1915 as the residence of a UF professor. After an almost catastrophic fire in 1993, a new owner saw greatness in the rubble and built The Swamp Restaurant to reconnect the building with its roots, as a place where all Gators are welcomed and celebrated. Over the years the swamp has become a true mainstay of the University of Florida experience and a proud member of the Gainesville community. Hundreds of thousands of Gators have passed through our doors, and we are honored to have hosted legendary music groups, past and present athletes, a divisersity of politicians and entrepenuers.
