Syncron Tech, a company which specialises in information systems for industrial production management and related services, has opened an office in Pori. The company will now be able to provide even better service to industrial enterprises in the Pori region and western Finland, including both its existing and future customers. Syncron Tech is known as a service-oriented and flexible IT company, with top-rate technical and industry expertise. The company's customer base comprises large and mid-sized international industrial companies. In addition to the Baltic region, its solutions, aimed at the process and manufacturing industries, are used in North America and Russia. They are used by the metal, energy, lumber, chemical and manufacturing industries. Syncron Tech solutions are based on its own software product, which has been under constant development since 1997. Version 9 of the software will be released this year. Founded in 1992, Syncron Tech's operations are well-established, with many long-term customer relationships. - We have had important customers in the Pori region for a long time. There are a great many factories and plants in western Finland that could benefit from our services and products, says managing director Jussi Kontola, on the opening of the new office. Thus far, services have been provided to customers in the region from the company's other offices in Lappeenranta and Espoo. There are currently two employees based at the new office which was opened at the start of May: the manager of the Pori office, Marko Meronen, and technical expert Markus Suula. - Having a local office here in Pori means even better service for our customers. We provide production-critical services for large companies, which means that it is good to have the accountable people in the same region where the customer is located, says Meronen. Syncron Tech's customers include Stora Enso. Syncron Tech's energy management system is currently being adopted at SE's plant at Imatra. Other users of Syncron Tech's MES product include Ovako and Paroc.
