Tailwind Advisors was formed in January 2009 to serve its founding family in navigating the complexities of managing its wealth. The firm's Principals built a team of experienced professionals to identify sophisticated investment strategies and managers across multiple asset classes, with the independence not found in most providers. In addition, the Tailwind team works closely with the family and its other advisors to develop long-term strategies that enable it to achieve its goals of sustaining and growing its wealth over generations. Recognizing that our founding family is not unique in its needs, Tailwind opened its doors to families who share similar values and goals. As a multi-family office, Tailwind offers its clients the ability to share the resources and talent required to effectively manage their wealth, while maintaining the confidentiality they expect. Furthermore, the combined strength of our clientele creates enhanced negotiating power that benefits all. Tailwind was initially formed with the capabilities to identify and assess opportunities across various asset classes, including fixed income, equities and hedge funds. Since its inception, Tailwind has developed its team to include expertise in making direct investments in private equity, real estate, and oil and gas.
