Tapgift enables you to send your friends real gifts in real time at entertainment venues. Tapgift also enables you to receive special offers and win prizes from your favorite venues and teams. Using your iPhone or Android device, you can determine a friend's location at a Tapgift-enabled venue and then buy gifts for your friend from a merchant at that venue. You could be at home, and see that your friend has checked in at a baseball stadium. You then select and purchase a gift from a stadium concession, and Tapgift will send your friend an alert with instructions for redeeming the gift at the stadium. If your friend is already a Tapgift member, the alert arrives in the Tapgift app and by email. If your friend is not already a Tapgift member, the alert email alone will have instructions for redeeming the gift. Tapgift is also a great way to get great deals at your favorite venues. When you check in at a Tapgift-enabled venue, you'll receive the latest offers and qualify to win the day's check-in prizes. How does Tapgift use email addresses? Tapgift uses the email address associated with your Facebook account as the default email address that identifies you within Tapgift. Because Tapgift identifies you with that email address, your friends will need to know that email address or a designated alternate email address to connect with you on Tapgift. Because many people have several email addresses, Tapgift lets you enter up to three alternate email addresses. To add alternate email addresses, tap the More menu and find the User Profile option. Tap User Profile and press the plus sign (+) next to the 'Alternate Email Address' prompt. The system will send a verification message to your new email addresses to ensure they are valid. How do I redeem a Tapgift gift? You must have an iPhone or Android smartphone and create a free Tapgift account to redeem a gift from Tapgift. If you're not a Tapgift member, you'll receive a gift alert email with instructions enclosed. Gifts you receive from your friends appear on your Gifts+Deals screen. You may preview a pending gift by tapping on its summary to see its details. When you visit a Tapgift-enabled venue, look for a Tapgift logo on or near the check-out stand. If you have any questions, ask the merchant to confirm that Tapgift is accepted and present your Tapgift detail screen. In a dining situation, let your server know you have Tapgift when you order. To collect your gift, tap REDEEM on your gift details screen.
