Tashkent International School
Tashkent International School is in the heart of Central Asia and is a wonderful, warm community school. This fall we started our 18th year of instruction with a record number 460 students, including more than 200 in secondary. The class of 2013 consists of 25 seniors, our largest 12th-grade class. We also saw the additional of several new staff members, including Alexandra Reynolds in design technology, Grace Kasimova in math, Joyce van den Hoven in learning support, Kate Sorrell and Dan Shiffman in English, Quentin Young in French and as the CAS coordinator, and Richard Reynolds in design technology. Fiona Moss, our MYP coordinator, has also stepped into the role of new secondary vice principal. Overall, the faculty members in our secondary school come from widely diverse locations and bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience of the best educational practices around the world. Together, with our student body from 45 nations, the TIS staff and students create what is truly an "international" school.
