Temple Chaverim

The synagogue is the center of Jewish life in America and Temple Chaverim is the center for Reform Jewish life in Plainview-Old Bethpage. We offer something very different from many congregations on Long Island. We have worked hard to create an atmosphere, which is at the same time, cordial and caring, hamish and open, modern and rooted in the tradition. As a member congregation of the Union for Reform Judaism, we take seriously the vision of Reform Judaism. We offer a varied program of Jewish life, we prepare our children for Jewish adulthood, and we meet the spiritual needs of our members and their family. We have grown from fifteen families to a congregation of over 500 family units. Our beautiful Synagogue building, with its one hundred year old ark, provides a perfect setting for worship, learning and community building. I invite you to become a part of Temple Chaverim.
