Texas Concrete Company is a long-running supplier of pre-stressed concrete. We provide service to a variety of well-known corporations: including the Texas Department of Transportation, Phillips Petroleum, Shell Oil Company and Southern Pacific Railroad. Our company was established in 1948 and produced the first prestressed girders used by the Texas Department of Transportation in 1956. Since that time we have been in continuous production of prestressed/precast products for the state, counties, cities and various other governmental agencies. We have also been involved in several major research projects for the University of Nebraska, University of Houston, Texas A&M University, University of Texas, the Federal Highway Administration and the State of Texas throughout the years. We were the pioneers in the method of forming a void with a mandrel and strand deflection in which we hold several patents. We offer years of prestressed knowledge along with the latest in mixing, fabrication and curing facilities. All testing and stressing equipment are checked daily and are certified as being within calibration. Complete laboratory facilities are available for any inspecting personnel.
