THE GRAND TOUR was started in 1999 in Seattle by Peter Straus, Marc Mariani and Tyler Lansford, bound by a mutual love of Italy and the desire to create tours for people who don't take tours. Peter moved the company to Peterborough, New Hampshire, in 2003. TGT offers custom tours to Europe and the United States & Canada for private and non-profit organizations, as well as small groups of family and friends. Just as The Grand Tour of old, we emphasize learning about aspects of art & architecture, music, history, cuisine, and current affairs of the destinations we visit. Our clients include museums, colleges, private clubs, and public broadcasting stations. TGT does not run public, retail tours.
