The Hastings Center

The Hastings Center is the longest-serving independent, nonpartisan bioethics research institute in the world. It is a nonprofit organization of research scholars from multiple disciplines, including philosophy, law, political science, and education. The organization produce books, articles, and other publications on ethical questions in medicine, science, and technology that help inform policy, practice, and public understanding. The company was formed in 1969 and is headquartered in Garrison, New York.
