TheMarker website debuted on May 1, 2000, offering news on hi-tech business, advertising, media, real estate, law, transportation and the labor market within Israel. The site partnered with the leading newspaper Ha'aretz in 2001 and began being printed in 2005. In 2008 TheMarker increased its page numbers and started an independent issue. TheMarker is generally considered to be one of Israel's leading business publications.
