The Parks Church

City Church Melissa started with a handful of family units who sold businesses, changed jobs, and moved to be part of a humble, grassroots beginnings. What became City Church Melissa started in a living room in early 2012 with a small group of Christ-followers gathering regularly for fellowship, a meal, and the study of God's word. As this group began to grow in size and our hearts were broken for the city, God began to give a vision for a new church in Melissa. A desire and vision was placed in our hearts to be a Gospel-centered church "For The City". In 2013 this small group began to share the vision for City Church Melissa. God faithfully provided the needed resources and in March 2014 City Church Melissa launched. Our church was planted to see those people who are far off from God brought into the family of God as they experience the richness of His grace and mercy in Christ. This remains our greatest hope. We are a community of people loving our city because of the person Jesus Christ.
