TMI Corporation brings its products to market through three sales channels: its direct sales division, a national group of independent dealers, and millwork companies. Dealers are responsible for promoting the TMI products to architects, owners, general contractors, and construction managers, and are also responsible for bidding, project managing, and installing TMI products. TMI's products are built to order and to architectural specification. They feature a wide array of product options that are best described by the phrase "mass customization". TMI has developed sophisticated information management systems and production processes to accurately manage large quantities of information. TMI has been focused on successfully managing extensive, complex information since the mid-1980's. Market forecasters such as McGraw Hill predict construction projects will continue to increase in complexity. The choice to embrace technology, made by TMI several years ago, has led to the development of our proprietary casework engineering software called jSEPP. This engineering software enables TMI to price, engineer and manufacture a nearly infinite combination of casework products, offering many variables in terms of colors, dimensions, hardware selections, materials and construction details.
