Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind is a registered charity and a company limited by guarantee. Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind was formally Torfaen Mind and prior to that Pontypool Mind, which was established in 1986. Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind is affiliated to National Mind which is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind works across Torfaen and more recently Blaenau Gwent to promote and support better mental health and wellbeing. We are committed to ensuring that all the services and facilities we provide are of the highest quality and that they continue to develop to meet the needs of the community of Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent. The organisation has a board of Volunteer trustees who are responsible for the overall management and direction of the charity and its services. The day to day responsibility for managing the organisations activities is delegated to a team of paid staff and Volunteers who are accountable to the trustees. Service Users are a vital part of the organisation. Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent Mind exists to help people achieve better mental health and wellbeing and our aim is to help people to help themselves to get the support that they need.
