Torpedo7 was founded in 2004 by mountain biker Luke Howard-Willis. At the time, Luke felt the selection of bikes and cycle gear available in New Zealand was both limited and overpriced. And thus Torpedo7 was born, with a passionate commitment to providing customers with an easy-to-use website offering an extensive range of quality goods at competitive prices. Founded in 1981, R&R Sport quickly grew to become New Zealand's leading outdoor retailer in the bricks and mortar space. With a range of stores across New Zealand and experienced staff who love to use the products they sell, R&R Sport was widely regarded as the go to shop for all outdoor enthusiasts. In October 2014, the two companies with over 40 years combined history and experience merged into one, to become New Zealand's leading outdoor and adventure sports multi-channel retailer - Torpedo7. Today we remain one of the fastest-growing technology companies in the Asia-Pacific region, but despite our growth, our passion for adventure sports remains the cornerstone of everything we do.
