TradeMoves is growing.  In the past few weeks, a lot has been happening at TradeMoves.   First, TradeMoves has re-launched its website at www.trademoves.net which continues to highlight TradeMoves' TradeTips, located on a side-tab, on issues related to FTAs, exporting, trade tools, sourcing strategies among others. In addition, we have established TradeMoves' TradeBlog to share timely information and perspective from TradeMoves' associates on current trade issues which may affect movement of products across borders.  Finally, the website is designed with a new format and look -- all with the same, high-quality trade advice and support that clients rely on and depend.   Second, we also announced earlier this month that our newest associate, Elena AcevesFowlkes, has joined our firm. TradeMoves is pleased to welcome Elena to our trade services team as an International Trade Analyst.   Prior to joining TradeMoves, Elena worked at the US House of Representatives for members of Congress who were active in the formulation of trade policy. She also worked as a law clerk for a Baltimore-area attorney specializing in corporate affairs and immigration law. Elena’s background includes time as a Trade Fellow at a non-profit corporation engaged in trade policy advocacy and issues relating to corporate social responsibility, as well as experience with the US Department of Commerce’s Commercial Legal Development Program. Elena is licensed to practice law in the State of Maryland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Augusta State University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she focused on business law and international commercial transactions.   "Elena's background in international transactions and her work to support commercially-meaningful trade policy complements the services TradeMoves provides its clients.
