The company was founded in 2002 as a family business based in South Wales and specialised largely in a range of communications equipment including phones and bluetooth headsets. Over the coming years Transparent steered itself more to the business line of products such as routers, switches, IP phones/cameras and network storage (NAS) devices as well as moving premises to Oxfordshire. After a successful acquisition of the company in Jan 2011, the company was moved again to the outskirts of Portsmouth on the South Coast and has experienced dramatic growth, culminating in the launch of a brand new web-site and an expansion in its range of products from 4,500 to currently over 100,000 products.
