Tribute Communities Centre
Oshawa's Sports and Entertainment Facility (named the Tribute Communities Centre as of November 1, 2016) is an award-winning premier sports and entertainment facility that has attracted world-class entertainers and athletes over the past 10 years. Recently, the facility was rated 144th in the world and 12th in Canada among sports and entertainment venues of all size categories on Pollstar's list of the world's top-200 arenas and stadiums. The ranking is based on ticket sales worldwide for concerts held to date this year at the leading venues in North America, South America, Europe and Asia. Since opening in November 2006, Oshawa's Sports and Entertainment Facility has hosted major concerts and special events including Elton John, Cirque du Soleil, the 2011 BDO Canadian Open and 2015 National Grand Slam of Curling events, numerous IIHF and CHL events, Weightlifting and Boxing during the 2015 TORONTO Pan Am Games, Eric Church, Jason Aldean, Hedley, the 2009 Skate Canada Synchronized Skating Championships, Selena Gomez and The Wiggles; just to name a few! The venue provides a first-class home to the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League and the Oshawa Sports Hall of Fame.
