We provide services to clients in a variety of fields including but not limited to: Educational, Medical, Commercial, Industrial, Governmental, and Residential throughout Central and South Texas. The Tater family has been in the materials testing industry since 1958, combined, we have over 60 years of experience. Michael Tater took over the major operations of the business formerly know as Trinity Soils Investigation in 1994 after his father's semi-retirement. The name was officially changed to TSI Laboratories, Inc. in 2004. In November 2005, TSI purchased Trinity Testing Laboratories, Inc. in La Feria, Texas. This acquisition allowed the company to expand the service area further South. Over the next few years TSI continued to expand by adding office locations in San Antonio, Texas and Pasadena, Texas as well. In an effort to streamline the companies service area the decision was made to close the Laferia, San Antonio and Pasadena locations and in 2017 opened the location in Weatherford, Texas. TSI still has employees located in the San Antonio, Houston & Rio Grande Valley service areas which allows us to continue to provide excellent service to our clients all over the state. TSI conducts all testing and inspection services with strict compliance to industry standards such as ACI, ASTM International, AWS., ASME, TXDOT and other national standards and practices. TSI is currently accredited by the Unites States Army Corps of Engineers. All equipment and instruments for testing concrete, soil, asphalt, steel and synthetic fabrics are calibrated within the required timeframe to assure results are within specified tolerance. Our field and laboratory technicians are certified and experienced in various National, State and industry standards. We have provided our services for various types of projects including: Industrial, manufacturing, refineries, power plants, electrical transmission lines and substations, pipelines, water and wastewater plants, shopping centers, churches, schools, including colleges and universities, TX DOT projects, dams, flood control structures, ponds and levees. Many of our projects have required our technicians to be involved in full time quality control spanning 1 - 2 years. TSI has had a long standing relationship with Formosa Plastics Corporation in Point Comfort, Texas and because of the quality service we have provided to them locally they have engaged us to be part of their new expansion project that will be located in Louisiana.
