Tully's first contract in this upcoming field was to haul and dispose of dewatered sludge cake from the Nassau County Water Pollution Control Plant in 1991. The facility is located in Wantagh, New York and the project had contract value of over fifteen million dollars. In 1991, Tully Construction Co., Inc., in a Joint Venture with Hydropress N-Viro Services, Inc., formerly a subsidiary of Mid-American Waste Systems, Inc., submitted a proposal to Westchester County to recycle their bio-solids. The joint venture was selected in 1994 by the County of Westchester to provide bio-solid management services; a contract valued at several hundred million dollars. This 23-year contract provides for the beneficial reuse of the county's bio-solid using the patented N-Viro process. The joint venture also provides loading and transportation services under this contract. Additionally, the Joint Venture has a contract to recycle bio-solids for New York City, Department of Environmental Protection. This contract is for 15 years and is worth over $100,000,000 dollars. Tully Construction Co., Inc., has managed wastewater bio-solids for the City of Long Beach, New York, City of Glen Cove, New York, Cities of Stamford and Greenwich, Connecticut, County of Rockland, Town of Orangetown and County of Nassau, New York. The combined contract values are over ten million dollars. Tully Construction Co., Inc. has just recently completed a $9,000,000 contract with the City of New York, Department of Environmental Preservation to transport and dispose of the grits and screenings from various sewerage treatment plants around the New York City.
