The consulting practice began within the accounting firm of Chaffee Geddes Chucka ; a regional leader in tax accounting for the last twenty years. During this time the team established an outstanding reputation, delivering work of the highest quality at every level of complexity. In 2009, Alan Chaffee and the consulting group inside CGC spun off a new entity: Turning Point Consulting, in order to focus on outsourced financial teams, e vent-driven services and operational improvements. Turning Point and CGC regularly collaborate, with CGC providing tax accounting services. Alan Chaffee leads the firm and brings a unique blend of experiences including CPA, CFO, COO, President and Board of Director roles. A highlight reel of his accomplishments includes: • Leading a manufacturing company from $800,000 in annual sales to more than $30,000,000, in approximately four years • Leading more than 40 successful turn-arounds, including converting a $13,000,000 bank write-off into full payout • Negotiating an acquisition sale price up from $4,000,000 to $32,000,000.
