TVS was founded in 1960 to produce and distribute an independent network of TV stations showing collegiate basketball. It became the number one independent TV network in the USA in the 1960's, 70's and 80's, also producing major college football bowl games, championship boxing, championship tennis, championship rodeo, LPGA and Senior PGA Golf, NASCAR and Indy Car Racing, LPBT Bowling, IWA Wrestling, and the World Football League. TVS also operates a music studio in Bakersfield; the TVS studio ranch in Cantil, CA; TVS Radio Network in Las Vegas; TVS Magazines in Atlanta; and TVS Ad Sales in Miami and New York.
