Transworld is a joint venture of Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding S.A.E, Orastar and His Excellency Dr Omar Abdul Mone'm Yousuf Al Zawawi of Sultanate of Oman. TW has built its reputation providing reliable backhaul connectivity services to Pakistan's telecom operators, ISP's and businesses. Transworld commenced operations in 2006 and is the only privately owned operator in Pakistan which owns its submarine cable systems. It has capacities on other regional cables both on eastern and western sides for route diversity and resilience. TWA plays a major role in connecting Pakistan to the rest of the world.
