UCA was founded in 1984 by Lin W. Lan to assist Asian insurance agents to place their business in a very difficult insurance market. Over the years, UCA has developed into a program manager with a stellar reputation for its products and services. The underwriting discipline and excellent results are praised by the reinsurance market year after year. Providing Commercial Property and Casualty package markets for brokers throughout the Western United States, with offices in Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Central California (Gilroy), San Diego, and our home office located in Cypress, California. In addition to these states, UCA is licensed to write business in Idaho, Oregon,Illinois, New Mexico and Utah and possesses the technical expertise and top-notch services to meet the needs of businesses of all sizes. With Lin Lan's experiences as an independent insurance broker/agent, UCA is sensitive to the needs of insurance brokers. We have weathered the storms of several soft and hard insurance cycles, the aftermath of the 1992 Los Angeles riots, as well as the aftermath of 9/11. UCA has stood tall and strong, and will continue this proud spirit in the future. UCA 's thirty-three Programs are written on an A rated insurer's paper to compete in the ever soft market. Program Underwriters are located directly in each of our office locations, which allows our quality of service to be second to none. The vast majority of policies are issued on CPP policy forms, with a combination of ISO and manuscript forms. Many of our Programs have property enhancement endorsements available. The property enhancement endorsements come in three different coverage levels, each with their own respective minor additional premium. UCA differs from other wholesalers as it assumes risk through affiliated Pacific Pioneer Insurance Company and adjusts claims through affiliated Precision Risk Management. UCA operates its Program business in the manner of an insurer.
