UK Biocentre

UK Biocentre provides a centre of excellence for the service elements of studies involving data or sample collection. We offer a set of services from a complete turnkey* operation, to specific elements (e.g. sample processing and archiving) or advice on any process part of a study. UK Biocentre will develop this core facility into a centre of excellence for biobanking operations. It will work with partners to develop or miniaturise new assays and technology required by researchers, establish quality control protocols to assess long-term sample stability to improve future collection and archiving, and engage in strategic technology partnerships and technology transfer deals to support UK science. It will also collaborate with leading groups to address important fundamental or methodological questions in biomedical studies.
