United Healthcare International Limited is a limited liability company incorporated in January 2000. It is registered solely as a health maintenance organization. The National Health Insurance Scheme under the National health Insurance Act 35 of 1999 licenses it. It is accredited to function both as a private health insurance company and for participation in the formal/informal sector social health insurance programme administered by the NHIS. It is reaccredited in 2009. From year 2000 to date we have recorded growing enrolees base of over 400,000 across private and public sectors and we are currently positioned to serve enrollees base of more than 10,000,000. We are one of the largest operators of health insurance in Nigeria and we are currently HMOs to several public and private organisations including The State House and Presidency, Federal Ministry of Housing & Urban Development, Information & National Orientation, Communication, Women Affairs, Justice, Solid Minerals and Transport. Our population also covers Participants from EFCC, ICPC, National Human Right Commission, National Planning Commission, and some Security Agencies, Unity Bank of Nigeria, Federal Capital Territory, Red Star Express, ASO Savings and Loans Plc, Acquire Project of USAID. We are managing a service provider network of more than 2000 hospitals and specialist centres across the nation all linked through established infrastructures for optimal health care service delivery.
