Upshift is a members only car club. For the price of insurance, you get access to a variety of great vehicles with an unbeatable service and value. We deal with the hassles of ownership. You just enjoy the cars. Can I drop the car off in a different location from where it was delivered? Yes! As long as it is within our delivery zone. At the moment, we are only operating in Russian Hill and Nob Hill. How much does delivery cost? Delivery is a $20 service fee, comparable to a valet parking charge. How do I become a member? If you live in Russian Hill or Nob Hill, send us an email at [email protected] and we'll set you up. In the meantime, you can get pre-authorized by signing up on our website. We'll roll out in your neighborhood based on demand, so get your friends onboard! What happens if there is no car available when I need it? We do our best to ensure this never happens. If we have another car type available, we will provide that to you. If we do not have any cars available, we will help you find another comparable vehicle using another service. How far in advance do I need to make a booking? Standard booking notice is 2 hours in advance. 1 hour in advance is possible for an additional fee. You can make a booking up to 3 months in advance. Can I take a car for a few hours? Members can only sign out a car for one day or longer. You can take it for less than 24 hours but you will still be charged for the full day.
