Since its setting up in 1954 until the beginning of 90s of the last century, the key program of the company was mainly construction of water management constructions in central and upper parts of river Váh. In the production program dominated construction of dams and hydroelectric plants such as Liptovská Mala or Gabíkovo. Changing of political situation at the end of 80s helped to transform the company to a private one. To water management constructions were added construction of motorway infrastructure and railway corridors including challenging constructions like bridges or tunnels. At the same time, Váhostav-SK has also begun to focus on construction of industrial complexes, construction of infrastructure for industrial parks and ecological constructions.
