Valley Mill Camp

Valley Mill Camp has been serving families in the Washington area since 1956, combining closeness to home with the atmosphere of an away camp. The Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association. For our summer camp programs, both boys and girls camps, the ages of the children in the regular groups range from 6 to 14. In addition, there is a coed group for 4 and 5 year-olds that offers specially designed play activities. Hours are from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Interested 14 and 15 year-olds may enroll in our Counselor in Training program. Transportation is included in the tuition. Bus transportation is provided from Capitol Hill in DC, McLean, VA, Northwest Washington, DC and nearby Maryland. Children within our transportation area in MD are picked up and returned to their neighborhood each day. Pick-up points are provided for those families living in DC, VA or in MD outside of our transportation area. Parents are sent a list of the pick-up points in their area when they are sent their acceptance letters. Transportation: Our goal is to pick up in the morning between 8:00 and 8:30 and drop off in the afternoon between 4:30 and 5:00. Parents will be notified of more exact pick-up times and locations on the weekend before the camper starts. Transportation is included in the tuition.
