Verona Area School District

The seven musicians formed the original Board of Directors and three short months after their initial meeting the VACB held its first rehearsal on February 15th, 2011. Turnout at the first rehearsal far exceeded expectations, confirming the founders' belief that musicians in the Verona area were looking for a place to play challenging, diverse and entertaining music for concert band. The VACB performed its inaugural concert on April 14th, 2011 in the Performing Arts Center at Verona Area High School. On May 19th, 2016 the VACB celebrated the fifth anniversary of its first concert with a program that included two works originally featured at the inaugural concert. The band continues to perform four yearly concerts and enjoys a strong membership that regularly exceeds 80 performers. VISION
