VESOLife

VESOLife was established in 1982 to provide group term life insurance specifically for Volunteer Emergency Service Organizations (VESO), such as fire departments, fire districts, rescue squads, ambulance squads, or similar organizations. It was designed by and is administered by NBT-Mang Insurance Agency. The insurance plan has been underwritten since its inception by Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York which is located at 100 Court Street, Binghamton, NY 13902. Over 16,000 members are insured for a total volume of in-force insurance that exceeds $300 million dollars. Since inception, over $19 million dollars has been paid to VESO beneficiaries. The group life master policy (form no. GR-1982-1) contains exclusions, limitations, reductions in benefits and terms for maintaining coverage in force.
