Vetaphone

The pioneer of corona treatment technology, Danish company Vetaphone, has taken steps to boost its support for customers in the Asia Pacific wide-web market by entering into cooperative agreements with experienced partners in Australia and The Philippines. Maxteq is the new partner in Australia, and it brings 20 years of experience in the film market. CEO, Andrew Maxwell commented: "We are excited to add Vetaphone corona and plasma treatment technology to our comprehensive portfolio of products for the industry. Meanwhile, in the Philippines, ASA Color, which has a strong network and reputation for professionalism, will handle Vetaphone's corona and plasma treatment technology, and according to CEO Gene Arbatin: "Our team, headed by Angelo Santos, is more than ready to take on the challenge of growing business in the area, and we are delighted to be working with a market leader." From the time that Verner Eisby invented corona treatment in 1951, Vetaphone has built a leading position as supplier to the film manufacturing and conversion industries, and in recent times, developed a significant presence in the Asia Pacific region. Its latest technology is plasma treatment, which it has developed with French company CPI. EASI-Plasma, as the product is branded, provides a wide range of advanced surface functionalities such as high and long lasting dyne levels or nano-thin coating for specialised anti-fog, hydrophobic/hydrophilic or controllable release properties. Jan Eisby, Vetaphone's CSO and son of the founder stated: "Our sales team is well briefed in the advantages offered by the technology, and we are now training our agents so they can help to spread the news in their own markets. Asia Pacific has great potential for corona and plasma, and both Maxteq and ASA Color will help us identify and contact to the right people." The appointment of Maxteq, according to Finn Hinze, Vetaphone's Area Sales Manager for Asia/Pacific/Middle East, was prompted by the decision of Sydney-based Powered Innovations to concentrate on its service and support business. "We have been looking for an experienced and dynamic partner that can serve the narrow and wide-web sectors, and help grow our business in extrusion as well as print, lamination and coating," he said. In Maxteq, Hinze believes he has found the right match. "The reaction of Andrew Maxwell, when exposed to our new exciting plasma technology, told me I'd found the right partner," he added. From the time Finn Hinze first met ASA's Gene Arbatin in 2014, he knew he had secured a good partner for The Philippines market. "Since beginning with Vetaphone in January 2015, ASA Color has already brought in new business," said Hinze proudly. Supporting this statement, Gene Arbatin commented: "There is great potential for growth in the market here, and we are pleased to lend our own reputation to promoting and selling Vetaphone's high quality technology."
