Launched in July 1998 by France Telecom, Voila already has sites operating in Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the U.S., all in local languages. Voila amounts to 80 million page views a month and with the most comprehensive European search engine and 120 million international URLs, Voila has already been chosen by Netscape and Microsoft as one of the premiere search providers to their portals in six European countries.
