Waldameer Classroom

Waldameer Classroom

Written by National Amusement Park Association historian Jim Futrell, it includes a foreword by Waldameer owner Paul Nelson. What makes the book special are the photos of Waldameer through the years, many of which were originally produced as postcards. Established in 1896, it's one of America's last surviving trolley parks - attractions built at the end of trolley lines to coax people into using the streetcars on weekends. The growth, survival and rebirth of Waldameer should make an interesting story. I suspect many of us will recognize friends and relatives in the photos of people having fun through the years at Waldameer. See the Full Article
