Warrens Bakery

Warrens Bakery

Warrens bakery is a family business, now in its fifth generation, and the oldest commercial bakery in Cornwall. The bakery was established in 1860 when Miss Harvey, daughter of Mr Harvey, the St Just baker, met Master Warren, a local farmer's son. Froma pasty making, point of view, this was a match made in heaven. One family provided the pastry and baked the pasties, while the other family provided the filling and the rest, as they say, is history and over 150 years of history. Our first shop with a small bakery behind, was in Queen Street, St Just and today, only 200 yards away, sits our modern bakery with over 58 stores across the South West of England. The main bakery in St Just provides over 100 jobs in this remote and rural area. We have other bakeries in Helston and Plymouth. Please use our store finder to find your nearest store. Warrens prides itself on traditional quality bakery products and our best sellers include the Cornish Pasty (still hand-crimped today) and Saffron Cake. However, with over 150 years of baking knowledge, skills and passion, we use enhanced modern technology to keep our range expanding. Bakery craft skills are still important to us and enjoy making and tasting our products.
