Founded in 1994, Water Gear, Inc. was created with the goal of providing the avid water enthusiast with the best quality equipment at the most reasonable price. Reed Rothhammer, owner of Water Gear, Inc. could swim before he could walk! His love of water grew in to an active career as a competitive age group swimmer and as one of Southern California's top ranked high school athletes. Reed ended his swimming career to focus on obtaining his degree from the prestigious USC School of Business. While in college he helped manage his family's small goggle company, upon graduation he grew the company into a major force in the aquatics industry. When the family business was sold in 1994, Reed applied his years of experience in the aquatic industry to create a brand known for quality at a reasonable price.
