Watermill School

Watermill School is a result of the coming together of Middlehurst School and Heathfield School on one fantasticpurpose built new site. The school has been carefully designed to provide for a wide range of pupils' needs to be addressed through educational, social, physical and emotional growth for the age range 2 to 19. This includes a wide range of specialist classrooms, halls, outdoor spaces and a hydrotherapy pool. We will continue to prepare our pupils for the wider world by offering part time college courses and accreditations that are relevant to our pupils' futures while ensuring we give the younger pupils the building blocks to set them on the right track for a successful life when they have left Watermill School behind. Our school motto - "We like to teach the way you like to learn" describes our school perfectly. Pupils at the school all have Learning Difficulties of some kind. This may include Moderate, Severe, Physical and Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism. Our specialist Inspire Pupil Referral Unit provides Primary aged pupils with behavioural difficulties an opportunity to develope skills needed to return to Mainstream Schools or to be assessed to move on to other Special School provision.
