Wayne Country Day School
Wayne Country Day School was founded in 1968 as an independent, co-educational day school. A fully-accredited member of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and the North Carolina Association of Independent Schools, Wayne Country Day School serves a diverse population in a community of military, manufacturing, agricultural, and service employers. From the day its doors opened, Wayne Country Day School has embraced a philosophy of education that asserts the importance and uniqueness of the individual student. With a strong belief in its mission to challenge and to nurture its students in a safe, diverse environment and to inspire them to commit themselves to excellence in preparation for college and the world beyond. Wayne Country Day School strives to make a positive difference in each student's education. Wayne Country Day School has a current enrollment of 267 students from throughout a multi-community area. The enrollment is diverse (more than one fifth of the student body is non-Caucasian), with one fourth of its students receiving some type of financial aid.
