Wedge Community Co Op

The Wedge is a grocery store, café, catering company, wholesale distributor and sustainable food leader. For over 40 years we&s;ve worked to support small farmers and organic producers. Today you can find more than 5,000 local products on our shelves, every day of the week. Our mission is rooted in the belief that providing access to real food made by real people makes a difference in our lives, our neighborhood and for our planet. In 2016, owners voted to consolidate with Linden Hills Co-op, a nearby community co-op in the beautiful Linden Hills neighborhood of Minneapolis. Linden Hills Co-op opened its doors in 1976, focused on bringing a food-focused community store to the Linden Hills neighborhood. The primary catalysts of our inception were to create community and provide pure food options. Food you can trust; less processed, less packaged, whole foods available at a reasonable price. This motivation is still at the core of our store&s;s identity today. In our forty-one years of business, Linden Hills Co-op has moved and expanded our offerings four times while remaining the neighborhood&s;s primary grocer. Our store has remained small enough to meet your neighbors yet big enough to meet your needs. We have sought to nurture strong ties to our community through our ample selection of locally made and raised foods and our community giving program. The co-op has always served as a gathering place; here to nourish bodies and lives. Together, the Wedge and Linden Hills forms one co-op that connects with more communities and builds a stronger local food system.
