Wellington Aero Club

The Wellington Aero Club, FD38, (airport designator), is a private airport licensed by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). As such, our common areas consist of a 4,000 foot Turf Runway with connecting grass taxiways and an open area for aircraft tie downs. All of these common areas were designed for the exclusive use of aircraft. Unlike many other private airport communities, FD38's streets are not used by aircraft, only motor vehicles. This is an excellent safety feature incorporated into FD38's design, i.e. common areas = aircraft only; streets = other vehicles only. The Covenants and Restrictions (C & R) for our community are very clear on the use of and access to the common areas. We refer you to Article IV, Sections, 2, 3, 6, and 7, especially Section 8, and our Rules and Regulations. A copy of which can be found on our website. Aircraft clearance from obstructions is another concern and we direct your attention to the Architectural Review Committee (ARC) guidelines for proper setbacks of building, fences and landscaping on your property where it borders a taxiway. A copy of which can be found on our website.
