WeNow

WeNow is a French greentech startup that develops and markets connected solutions for cars, to help individuals and companies become more energy-efficient and reduce their environmental footprint. WeNow was born out of the observation that carbon emissions are a social issue that is now also becoming a major financial issue in business. All governments around the world are committed to reducing their carbon emissions, but as the current oil prices aren't high enough to encourage energy savings and change, they are forced to use coercive measures to make companies go greener. Governments are supported in this effort by activist shareholders and the finance industry, which is now withdrawing from high-carbon-intensity sectors. As a major contributor to gas emissions, the transportation sector is particularly affected by these measures. This is why WeNow's innovative solution uses smart data to control cars' energy efficiency and reduce their carbon footprint through eco-driving. Founded in November 2014 by three associates, WeNow started testing its solution in March 2016. Nine months later, it is working with 15 companies, has tracked over a million kilometers and neutralized 160 tons of CO2 emissions.
