If you are a journalist, photographer, publisher, fixer, blogger, videographer, translator, copy editor, layout designer, or researcher then WePress will help you get commissioned or find people to work with. How do I know WePress is for me? If you agree with these comments then WePress is for you: I want to stop relying on facebook groups to find fixers and videographers. I want to expand my network. I create news or am a participant in producing it. I find that receiving payment for my work is a challenge. I want to have access to briefs from publishers. I want to be able to pitch my story ideas and get them commissioned. I have an an amazing existing network but wouldn't mind expanding my reach. I want to be a freelancer but need to find more clients first. I want more publishers to find me. Why was WePress created? Our founders Mohamed and Erbil saw a need to simplify networking, commissioning and payments within the freelance journalism industry. That led to endless conversations over many cups of good coffee with journalists and publishers across the world to find out what such an app would be like. Is WePress an Agency or Middle Man? No we are not. Wepress uses the shared economy business model which means we don't create content nor are we middle-men. We just bring together credible journalism industry professionals and provide them with a tool to simplify part of their job. Can anyone register for WePress? The journalism professionals in our WePress Directory sign-up based on a referral system to ensure we have a dependable community of users. You must either be invited or recommended by an existing user. How would you describe what WePress does?
