The West African Group and it's subsidiaries distributes directly and indirectly via it's warehouses, a range of virgin polymers, specialised films, synthetic rubber, natural rubber, fillers, engineered carbons, rubber chemicals, specialty chemicals, lubricants, coolants, fuels, absorbant and dunnage bags into the Southern African market. We have 14 warehouses in Southern Africa with 10 located in the 5 major cities within South Africa (Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth and East London) as well as warehouses in Harare, Zimbabwe; Walvis Bay & Windhoek, Namibia and Kitwe, Zambia. West African Group (WAG) is a division of West African International (PTY) Ltd (WAI), a leading reseller and distributor of Polymer, Rubber, Fillers and specialised Chemicals. WAG was established in 1992 to focus on the distribution and marketing initiatives in the Southern Africa Region. The company continues to expand operations through a diversity of core products with sustainable competitive advantages. West African Group (SA) has an extensive regional distribution network, with warehouses in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban and Harare. Corporate clientele include Dunlop, Firestone, Goodyear, Bandag, Nampak, Astrapak, Huhtamaki, Whirlpool, Mpact, Natal Rubber Compounders, Weir Minerals, Leader Tread, H & M Rollers and National Rubber Matmin. The WAG Head Office is based in Durban with the CEO, Brent Hean with Grant Rosettenstein being responsible for most of the administration, logistical and finance functions. The Boksburg site is ably lead by Rob Macnab and comprises significant warehouse space and a sales office. We also have a sales office in Bryanston where the lubricants management team and Tritia Du Plessis operate from. WAG has several Sales Representatives responsible for the sale of plastics, rubber and chemicals who are based in Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban and Harare and report to Tritia du Plessis. We enjoy significant open account credit limits and consignment stock arrangements with major international principals, some of which we have held for over 2 decades.
