West Coast Analytics

West Coast Analytics is a research and consulting organization specializing in the area of educational testing, psychological assessment, and quantitative data analysis. We offer years of experience providing statistical and analytic consultation, primarily in the areas of psychometrics, research design, and quantitative analysis. At West Coast Analytics, our focus is on providing research, statistical and psychometric consultation, and analytic services to help organizations develop, utilize, and understand the effects of tests, assessments, interventions, and educational products. Our goal is to make the challenging process of testing and assessment less complicated and more readily understandable so that we maximize the information value of testing systems. In collaboration with our clients, we have developed dozens of computer adaptive tests and testing systems, assessing more than one million students annually. We have developed multiple computer adaptive tests in math, reading, language arts, and science for K-8 students in both traditional and on-line schools. In addition, we have created subject specific computer adaptive tests in algebra and geometry for secondary students, a Spanish language version of a computer adaptive mathematics test, and a computer adaptive test of English language fluency for English Language Learners (ELL). We have recently developed a cognitively diagnostic assessment for college readiness in mathematics based upon the most recent advances in psychometric theory and college readiness standards which promises to provide more useful and meaningful information from tests to students, teachers, and educational decision-makers.
