Western Industrial Tooling
Western Industrial Tooling, Inc. (WIT) has been in business since 1969. Until 1992, WIT had focused its energies on being a high quality small mold and tool making shop. One day, a Microsoft engineer stopped by to display a new design for a computer mouse. WIT was asked if it would be willing to help in resolving a production problem. Since solving problems is part of the profession, WIT is a company comprised of very innovative people. The project entailed a soap bar shaped mouse consisting of eight different components. Each component had multiple cavities requiring multiple molds. Furthermore, each part had to be interchangeable with all other parts, which was not the existing case. WIT enthusiastically accepted the challenge, implemented an ISO 9001 quality control system and has enjoyed an excellent relationship with Microsoft ever since. This same philosophy, applied to every one of its customers world wide, has earned WIT an excellent award-winning reputation for innovative solutions and high quality workmanship standards as it continues to take on even greater challenges. In addition to the tooling and plastic injection mold making industry, WIT currently works with customers on the cutting edge of silicone and ceramic injection molding. WIT is particularly adept at projects requiring very tight tolerances.
