West Wing Writers

At West Wing Writers, we offer year-round, paid internships to a few good candidates. We don't expect interns to have written speeches before, but we do want people who love to write and are excellent researchers; people who are creative, curious, thoughtful, motivated, and dependable. As an intern, you'll get an insider's view of the speechwriting profession and be an integral part of our team. Our interns have gone on to write for senators and the Smithsonian, for cabinet secretaries and governors - even for the President of the United States. The application period for the West Wing Writers fall internship (August/September-December 2015) is now open. We will accept applications for our fall internships in Washington, D.C. and Brooklyn, New York until July 1, 2015. Please note that rather than review applications on a rolling basis, we review all applications at the end of each application period.
